PENSACOLA & THE GULF COAST

Final expense insurance.
Let’s make it personal.

What would you want your family to have one less thing to worry about? Start there. Then we can talk about the coverage, the cost and the fine print.

Start with your family’s wishes.

Final expense insurance is usually a smaller life insurance policy intended to help with costs after a death. Depending on the policy, benefits may help a beneficiary pay funeral expenses, final bills or other needs. The right starting point is what you want covered, what is already in place and what you can comfortably afford.

I’m Kalin, a broker based in Pensacola with The Assurance Group. If you’re in Pensacola, Perdido, Pace, Milton, Gulf Breeze or the surrounding Gulf Coast, we can start with a straightforward conversation. You can bring an adult child or another person you trust.

Three things to compare before you apply

  1. The benefit when your family needs it.

Ask whether the policy pays its full death benefit immediately for an eligible claim or limits benefits during an initial period. Get the explanation for natural and accidental deaths, along with exclusions.

  2. A premium that fits your everyday budget.

Ask whether premiums can change, how long payments continue and what happens if a payment is missed. More coverage only helps if the policy remains affordable to keep.

  3. What you already own.

Bring existing policies into the conversation. A new application or replacement can introduce different costs, underwriting and policy provisions. Keeping suitable coverage may be the better next step.

Gold, Silver and Bronze are The Akin Agency’s planning packages. The dollar amounts are life insurance benefit goals, not the price you pay. We’ll compare actual policy options and an affordable premium together.

Need a different amount? Add it to your email draft. Your existing coverage and your budget belong in the conversation.

WHY THIS IS PERSONAL

A Ford Focus.
A first job.
A way forward.

Kalin’s story

When my grandparents passed, the life insurance they had put in place for me made a real difference. It helped my siblings and me pay for my mom’s unexpected funeral.

I had enough left for my first car—a Ford Focus—which helped me land my first job waiting tables. That support meant more than a dollar amount. It helped me take my next step.

That’s why I care about the gift you want to leave. It can be about helping with final expenses, giving a child a start, or leaving something thoughtful for your grandchildren.

FUNERAL COSTS OVER TIME

A plan should keep up
with the cost of saying goodbye.

National median prices increased between NFDA’s 2021 and 2023 surveys.

Funeral with viewing & burial

+5.8%
2021$7,848
2023$8,300

Funeral with viewing & cremation

+8.1%
2021$5,810
2023$6,280

GET A LOCAL PRICE, TOO

Pensacola costs deserve
a Pensacola conversation.

National figures are a starting point. Ask local funeral providers for itemized prices for the arrangements you actually want. A cremation with a viewing is different from direct cremation; cemetery and memorial charges can also change your total.

The FTC recommends comparing at least two funeral homes and requesting written price lists. You can ask which items are optional instead of starting with a package.
